Romeo and Juliet
Romeo falls in love with the “enemy”. Juliet falls for someone that she should fear. That love didn’t last
fate and people got in the way of their love life which ended too soon. Romeo and Juliet written by
William Shakespeare was about a young boy and young girl who fall in love and cannot except being
apart. Disputes, dislikes and fate create this wonderful story. This story takes place in Verona. Unfortunate
death Put the feuds of many years to rest. Violence erupts staining the hands of citizens which changes
Romeo and Juliet’s life. There once separation is now everlasting. Who is the blame for Romeo’s and
Juliet’s death?
Lord Capulet, the father of Juliet. He's selfish, egotistical and ambitious. Lord Capulet is the blame of the
death of Romeo and Juliet. He is unaware of Juliet's feelings but he knows that he wants her to marry
Paris. He dislikes Romeo because of an ongoing feud with his family, they are the “enemy.” He doesn’t
want to listen to Juliet's wishes as far as marrying Paris which Juliet
doesn't want to do. She’s in love with
Romeo. The effect of the ongoing feud between the Montague’s and the Capulet’s is stopping Juliet from
marrying Romeo. Juliet decides to take a position that will make her sleep for 48 hours. Her breaths were
so ligh
t that it was hard to tell if she was breathing. The Capulet’s thought that she was dead, this was
right before the wedding ceremony that Juliet didn’t want to do. Her father knew that Juliet didn’t want
to marry Paris so he pushed the wedding date closer than it was before. He changes the date to hopefully
changing Juliet’s mind on getting married to Paris. Instead, it made her poison herself. She looked lifeless
when they seen her in her room. They assumed she was dead. Lady capulet states “ O me, O me!
child my only life, Revive, look up, Or I
will die with thee”! This proves that it was unkn
wn that Juliet
was only poisoned for 48 hours. When Capulet discovers this he is terrified not only at the fact that his
daughter has died but that she died the day before the wedding. He was selfish which caused people to
think that Juliet was dead even Romeo thought she was dead.
Fate is in many couple’s love life. Not saying that fate is sick but I am describing that fate can cause hurt
to others and
not only the couple. Fate is not a person, it’s a feeling which was another cause of Juliet’s
and Romeo’s death. When Romeo discovered the Poisoned Juliet he also assumed she was dead. Romeo
is dramatic and caring. Once Romeo discovered Juliet he realized
that she was cold and she wasn’t
breathing. He told a poisoned Juliet that he was going to lie with her that night. A man named Apothecary
gave Romeo the poison helping his wishes to lie with his true love Juliet. Romeo watches as Juliet lays in
the tomb. Romeo says a speech right before he drinks the potion. The speech included the following
“Oh,my love! My wife! Death, that hath sucked the honey of thy breath, Hath had no power yet upon thy
beauty. Thou art not conquer'd. Beauty’s ensign yet is crimson in
thy lips and in thy cheeks, and death’s
pale flag is not advanced there” Romeo exclaims not knowing that this is Juliet awakening from the
potion. Romeo believes that Juliet is so beautiful that death doesn’t affect her. He drinks the poison and
dies. Mom
ents later, Juliet wakes up to look for Romeo she says “ O comfortable Friar! Where is my
lord? I do remember well where I should be, and there I am. Where is my Romeo”? This proves that Juliet
is unaware that Romeo took his life to be with her. She realiz
ed that Romeo is dead and doesn’t take it
easy, she chooses death. “Yea, noise? Then I’ll be brief. O happy dagger, this is thy sheath. There rust and
let me die”.
Juliet kills herself. Sacrificing her life to be with the one she loves.
